Ticket terms and refunds
What a ticket includes, who it is for, and when you can have a refund or give your place to someone else.
Who sells the ticket
The Lab Result is the trading name of THE LAB RESULT LTD, company number 17251857, registered office 84 Albert Hall Mansions, Kensington Gore, London SW7 2AQ. Questions go to events@thelabresult.com.
What a ticket is
One ticket admits one student to Origins (Session 0001), Thursday 10 December 2026, in Roberts Building, UCL, London, WC1E 7JE: three talks, including a Personal Statement talk. Arrival details are sent by email before the evening, and a written summary of each talk is sent afterwards. The price is £30 per student. Booked on this site there is no booking fee; booked on Eventbrite, Eventbrite adds its own fee at checkout.
Who it is for
The evening is for students in Year 12 and Year 13. A parent or guardian may buy a ticket for a student. If you would like to bring someone outside those years, email us first.
Refunds
Email us at least 7 days before the evening (by 3 December 2026) and we will refund the ticket in full, to the card it was bought with (Eventbrite bookings are refunded through Eventbrite). After that we cannot refund it, but you can give your place to another student: email us their name before the evening.
If we change or cancel
If we cancel the evening, or move it to a different date you cannot attend, you will have a full refund. Speakers may change, and we will tell you if they do. A change of speaker is not a reason for a refund.
Payment
Payments on this site are taken by Stripe, and on Eventbrite by Eventbrite. Your card details go to them and never reach us.
Your rights
Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.
